groups-brainstorming
From DiSo wiki
really rough notes on the ideas of groups in diso

Groups
- a plugin for diso that gives you an option "act as a group"
- whitelist for openids
- grab rss feeds from members to create a group "planet"
- chris mentions some handwaving "that does a callback to your IDP; and that group gets listed in your groups page; and you get an activity stream from the group" ;-)

Creating a group
- A group is simply an OpenID consumer that may or may not have a predefined list of people who can join. A group server should allow the creation of groups with various access permissions; it should really be no different than the current process for Google Groups.
- A group might be a DiSo node with a set of options:
[x] Setup as Group:
Group Name [ name ]
Whitelist (text area for openids)

Really, fan messages are another application of activity notifications, hopefully handled via xmpp.
